**Kit Kelly** was the girlfriend of police officer [[Manhunter (Dan Richards)|Daniel Richards]]. Her brother is policeman Jim Kelly. Kit was working at a settlement house by the summer of 1942.

In August, 1942, Kit Kelly and a group of children from a settlement house were kidnapped from a candy factory while she was taking them to see how candy was made. Investigating their disappearance, Manhunter discovered that they were kidnapped and sent on a boat to Turkey to be sold on the slave market. Defeating the slave traders, Manhunter returned them home. ((Manhunter, Police Comics #12 (October, 1942) ))

At some point after March, 1944, Kit Kelly and Dan Richards broke off their relationship.
