In Qurac, Robin II is captured by the Joker, who runs a TV game show where people vote whether to kill or save Nocturna.   * April, 1986: Batman, having returned to active duty in Gotham City, is called in by Commissioner James W. Gordon to capture the escaped Crazy-Quilt and Signalman, who are trapped in a warehouse. The Gotham City Police Department moves to a new building. Batman recalls the last five months. In October, Ra's al Ghul engineered a mass prison break of all of Gotham's criminals, and just after Batman and his allies recaptured the worst of them, the Swamp Thing attacked the city. Shortly after, while on the trail of the Black Mask, Batman became overwhelmed by the loss of the last few months and had a breakdown. In Saudi Arabia, Batman and Robin II learn that Qurac won't allow them to take the Joker back to the U.S. and that Nightwing has returned to the Batcave. Robin II flies the Batplane with the unconscious Nocturna back to Gotham City, followed by Batman in the private jet. Robin II worries that Nightwing will want his old role as Batman's partner back.
