+April, 1986: Captain Comet helps Glynix of Liquel II by fighting in gladiatorial games to save her world, defeating Vartox. He learns that the games are staged by two aliens posing as Darkseid and frees the planet. On Earth, Goldstar (Karin Grace), under the influence of the star-band, attacks the Rehab Squad and is only stopped when Rick Flag declares his love for her. Melisande throws the star-band into the sea. In space, Vartox convinces Captain Comet to visit his adopted planet of Tynola, where the two battle Starbreaker.
